Missionaries often find themselves in times of transition or travel. And travel is expensive, especially for those who often live on limited incomes. It’s also tiring, especially for missionaries who also have to face culture shock, or were already drained and tired before starting out.
And many missionaries do not know that free or low-cost facilities are available to them.
So whether you are a missionary or know of a missionary in need of a place to stay, check out the following ministries which graciously offer a place of rest, where missionaries can refuel and refocus, free of stress.
A Candle in the Window — Based in Northeast Florida, with locations worldwide.
This hospitality Network is a growing online network of Christian households, worldwide, who open up their homes. Any one (not just missionaries) can join and enjoy free conversational dinners and/or overnight stays, all for the low fee of $30 yearly. But full-time and retired missionaries have the added benefit of free lifetime membership!

We hope to add to more guest houses as we find more of these wonderful ministries. Or if you know of any, please let us know!
And have you or your church ever thought about opening one?
